Odoo planners know that there are things Odoo doesn’t do out of the box such as telling you what to do next: which purchase orders to raise, which manufacturing orders to launch, which sales orders are at risk of being late. That’s the job of an APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) like frePPLe.
Without an APS, you will see that planners will be using spreadsheets, even in businesses with relatively simple needs.
Until now, getting that kind of plan meant owning a frePPLe instance and setting up the connectors between Odoo and frePPLe. That’s a perfectly good option, but it’s also a step that some people want to skip, at least at first, just to see what a real frePPLe plan looks like on top of their own Odoo data.
That’s now possible. We’ve launched an APS service in the cloud that talks directly to your Odoo instance. There’s nothing to host or configure beyond installing the frePPLe app from the Odoo apps store. You get a working supply chain plan in a few clicks.
How it works ?
- Install the frePPLe app from the Odoo app store.
- Go to the frePPLe menu and click Generate recommendations.
- FrePPLe reads your Odoo data, runs the planning calculation in the cloud, and sends recommendations straight back into Odoo: purchase orders to create, manufacturing orders to launch, and heads-up on sales orders that are at risk of shipping late.
Why should you give it a try ?
- No setup: no frePPLe instance to install or maintain.
- See it on your own data: the recommendations are based on your actual Odoo records.
- Low commitment: it’s the easiest way to evaluate whether an APS layer is worth adding to your Odoo instance.
- Free of charge: there’s no cost to try it, so there’s no reason not to see what it can do for your own data.
